Portfolio transactions bounced back strongly, accounting for 39% of total investment. Hotel chains stood as the main players on the sell-side, portraying the strong liquidity pressure they have faced during the past two years.

 

During 2021, we have seen new national and international investors formalise their first transactions in our market, starting 2022 with a pipeline of over €1,500 million and a positive trend that will remain throughout the year.

Barcelona dominates the investment market and teleworking hampers companies' decisions.

Companies have been working remotely in general, and this has had a direct impact on decision making in terms of space occupancy, increasing the vacancy rate and putting downward pressure on rents.
